The Grange is one of America’s oldest community organizations, founded in 1867 with a vision of strengthening rural life through fellowship, education, and service. From its earliest days, the Grange has been both a social and civic gathering place—bringing neighbors together not only to share a meal or a meeting, but also to work side by side to improve their communities. Rooted in traditions of cooperation, respect, and democratic decision-making, the Grange has shaped public policy, supported agriculture, and built bridges between rural and urban people for more than 150 years.
Membership in the Grange is more than belonging to a club—it is joining a family with deep ties to community and country. Grange halls host programs that develop leadership skills, provide opportunities for youth, and offer a space where every member’s voice is heard and valued. Whether through service projects, legislative advocacy, or fellowship, members find purpose in knowing they are part of something larger than themselves: a movement dedicated to strengthening local communities while upholding the values of citizenship and responsibility.
Today, the Grange continues to adapt to changing times while holding fast to its core values of faith, family, and community service. Members discover the value of belonging to an organization that not only honors tradition but also welcomes innovation. In the Grange, people of all ages and backgrounds find a place to grow, to lead, and to make a difference. We invite you to be part of this Order—an organization that respects differences, welcomes new ideas, and provides fellowship for men, women, and families of every generation. So we invite you not to join an organization but to become a part of our family. This is the Order of Patrons of Husbandry—The Grange.
